Live Life Outside

When Dick and Carol Fallon decided to take their family of seven skiing during Christmas break in 1970, they could not find a one-stop shop to outfit the kids and help them with their purchases.

They made the decision to go into the business to fill this void and Ski Barn was born in 1971. Offering seasonal rentals of equipment to growing families became the pinnacle of their business. Now, nearly 50 years later, the Fallon family (three generations), enjoy a robust business of four locations throughout New Jersey. In the winter months (September to March), they outfit the tri-state area with ski & snowboard gear and apparel with top-notch expertise. During the summer season (April to August), the stores transform into premium outdoor furniture, grills, firepits and accessory showrooms with talented people that know their stuff.

The key to their success lies with the passion that the Fallons and their employees possess.  All the employees are trained to know the products they sell. In the winter, the employees test the equipment, and the boot-fitters are sent to a 4-day clinic. In the summer, the employees understand outdoor design and configuration, as well as fabric, texture and style options. Your furniture is always delivered by Ski Barn's own team. They make sure everything is set up and that you are completely satisfied before leaving.

The Fallons maintain their commitment to the community. For example, the stores raised $11,000 for Hurricane Sandy relief, with a portion of each sale donated to Habitat for Humanity, and the family continues to support the surrounding communities.
