The Mindbender 88 W is light, fast, and ready to rip from first chair to last call. Dark Matter dampens chatter on firm snow so you can lean into every turn, while a Titanal I-Beam delivers the control to push your speed up a gear. Quick edge to edge with the grip to back it up — this is the ski for women who love to carve and still want options off-piste.

Built for women who like to carve, the Mindbender 88 W is the most frontside-leaning ski in K2's redesigned women's freeride lineup for 2027. An 88mm waist sits at a versatile point for resort skiing, and K2 pairs it with the new Dark Matter and Titanal I-Beam construction plus Stance Forward geometry for women-specific shape and flex tuning.

Edge engagement defines this ski. K2's choice to push the Dark Matter weights toward the tips and tails on the 88 W gives it a hooked-up feel through the early part of the turn, and the women's-specific flex profile means you don't have to muscle the ski to access that response. It's a carving-focused ski that respects how women actually ski rather than asking them to overpower a men's-designed chassis.

For advanced and expert women skiers who spend most of their time on firm snow but appreciate enough waist to handle the occasional adventure off-trail. Skiers transitioning from a dedicated carving ski to something with a touch more versatility will find this a natural step.

The 88 W's character comes from how K2 distributes the new construction. Dark Matter inserts along the tip and tail edges sharpen turn initiation, and the Titanal I-Beam down the centerline keeps things damp through the bottom of the arc. Aspen Paulownia in the core delivers light, energetic flex without sacrificing resilience. Stance Forward construction tunes the shape, sidecut, and flex around women's biomechanics, and the relatively short turn radius (13.0m at the 164) makes carved turns quick and snappy. A sintered base provides fast glide and good wax retention. Among the women's Mindbenders, this one has the most directional shape and the flattest tail.

Sidecut: 129/88/113 mm at 164 cm length

Radius: 13 m at 164 cm length

Rocker/Camber/Rocker

Sintered Base

Aspen/Paulownia Wood Core

Dark Matter Technology

Titanal I-Beam

Ability Level: Advanced to Expert
